Get an Edge

The Edge Sports Performance Academy is a performance enhancement institution for student athletes, ages 8 and older. Our mission is to give our athletes the same quality strength & conditioning that collegiate and professional athletes receive as a means of helping them experience greater athletic success. We understand that the landscape of sports is ever evolving and becoming increasingly competitive. If athletes are going to continue to excel and enjoy athletics, we know they need more than just sport specific skill work year round. We know it is imperative that the athlete’s “raw material”, their physical genetic potential, is tapped into and developed in the way only performance training can.

Our programming is extensive and detailed to address every facet of athletic development . The Junior Edge program is for young athletes aged 8-11. The primary focus for this age group is exploratory motor development in both a safe and fun environment. We put these athletes in a variety of situations that allow them to successfully learn correct movement patterns that will become the basis for more specific sport-skills as they age. A good percentage of the learning comes in the form of competition or game based activities.
For our athletes 12 years and older, we have multiple programming options. Most are tailored for the individual athlete and the demands of their sport(s), though there are a few specific supplemental ones, such as our ACL Prevention and Bridge programs.

Through our options we’re able to:
·         INCREASE SPEED, STRENGTH, & POWER/EXPLOSIVENESS
·         IMPROVE AGILITY/LATERAL MOVEMENT/CHANGE OF DIRECTION
·         DECREASE REACTION TIME
·         ENHANCE FOOT SPEED & MOBILITY
·         IMPROVE BODY COMPOSITION, ENDURANCE & RESISTANCE TO INJURY

We also offer 1-on-1, 2-on-1, small group and team training. With these options, we’re able to offer our athletes even more specific training. For details and pricing don’t hesitate to contact Head Strength & Conditioning/Performance Coach Brian White at 330-414-5449.
